The brand name is a modern leather shoe brand named after Buttero, an Italian cowboy who roamed the hills of Tuscany, Italy, where the company's headquarters are located.
BUTTERO was founded in 1974 by Mauro Sani with the aim of creating the world's best riding boots.
It is still owned and operated by the Sani family for three generations.
